János Winter
1942 (Hungary) - 2014 (Denmark), he lived 72 years.
He was restless inventor, eternal innovator, father and friend.
"He was two years older than me, born in 1942.
His attitude towards the system was featured by being a member of the Kalef Gallery.
After he had graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Budapest University of Technology,he worked on pump development at the Diósgyőr Machine Factory, and then at the Budapest Refrigeration Office - we were colleagues here for the first time.
His other workplaces were EGI and KLIMA Ltd.
He left Hungary in 1977 – at the timecalled defection.
His adventurous life is characterized by the fact that he started to work in Copenhagen as a taxi driver, but he worked for Danfoss one year later and soon he was the head of the Danfoss Development Department.
He began the development of electronic expansion valves.
Being a restless innovator and inventor, he didn’t stay at Danfoss more than ten years and went further to the German company Cool-Expert to develop microprocessor cooling automatics.
He also worked for York International as an employee of Austria and Denmark, as well as for CGS in Saudi Arabia.
He finally found his place as an independent consultant position for QPLAN Refrigeration Technology.
Our life paths have crossed each other several times, and our sincere, familiar conversations, our professional dialogues, have become irreplaceable friendship, and now that he has left us here, we are trying to fill the void with memories. "
